Chrome Cleanup Tool

The Chrome Cleanup Tool comes in handy when Google’s Chrome web browser behaves strangely. And when I say “behaves strangely,” I mean the browser keeps crashing, weird pages are displayed at startup, toolbars show up out of nowhere, you’re shown ads that you can get rid of.

What the Chrome Cleanup Tool does is it runs a scan with the aim of finding software applications that cause Chrome to behave strangely or negatively impact Chrome. If it finds any, it will remove them. On top of that, the Chrome Cleanup Tool will reset Chrome to its originals settings.

The Chrome Cleanup Tool, at the time of writing this at least, is available for Windows only. It is a portable application for computers that run Microsoft’s Windows operating system. You won’t have to install the Chrome Cleanup Tool to use it on your Windows PC, you’ll only have to download and run an executable.

Run the Chrome Cleanup Tool and it will immediately go to work, searching for programs that may affect Chrome. When I ran it on my work PC, it did not find any such programs – which is great. So after it did not find any unwanted programs, it moved on to the next step and asked to reset Chrome’s settings.

Chrome Cleanup Tool is free software. Google doesn’t ask anything for its Chrome web browser and it doesn’t ask anything for this tool either.
